Tuesday, May 22. Took a day off and went to Baltimore to see a presentation on the Panasonic P2 system. Basically convinced me that the panasonic P2 camera is the one I need to get. I had been waffling on this comparing it with the JVC camera.
However, having the capacity to shoot full HD and have a fast shoot to edit transfer made the difference... so, if all works out.. in the next month or two I will be the owner of a new camera system.
I really want to get the larger format camera (shoulder mounted) but for right now I'll settle for the DVX200.
I'm watching "On the Lot" tonight... interesting... so many BAD pitches. I hope I can do better when it's my turn to make a pitch for an idea.
Video and film making is an art. It's also a business.
What I really want to do is tell stories. Stories that matter. Stories that can change lives.
